Welcome to the Winter 2022

CS:GD/AGPM Capstone Recruitment Fair

What is the Recruitment Fair?

The CS:GD/AGPM Capstone Recruitment Fair is an opportunity for capstone teams to connect with their fellow students for some mutual help in creating their games. Each team here have formed a prototype and now they’re looking for some help in fleshing it out. Check out their games below to learn more.

I heard I can get credits?

Yes! Undergraduates at UCSC can apply for credits with their team. Once a team picks you up as an external collaborator, they’ll send us your name and the AGPM advisor will send you a permission code to join ARTG 176, a 2 credit P/NP class.

Will we be able to meet these teams before we apply?

Of course! Each team has scheduled time this Wednesday, January 19th, to meet with potential externals. You can find a zoom link to their meetings posted below. If you want to reach out sooner, each team should have some contact information on their pages.

I'm not affiliated with UCSC. Can I still apply?

Former UCSC students are welcome, but should talk with their teams about their responsibilities. Those that have no affiliation with UCSC what-so-ever should get special permission first from their teams before joining.

What kind of roles are there?

Teams are looking for all types of help! The traditionally high demand roles are usually artists, sound designers, and programmers. Check them all out using the filters.

How can I apply?

Each team will have their own application process, so it would be good to find out from each individual team what their needs are. We asked that each team provide an application form and/or contact information which you can find on their team page.

Can I join more than one team?

No, it is highly recommended that you do not join more than one team. Working as an external collaborator takes a lot of effort and working on more than one project tends to dillute that focus. Talk to your teams about your options.

I'm still not sure how all this works.

That’s okay! It’s a lot of technical details here. If you still have questions about how recruitment fair works, feel free to reach out to gdacollab@gmail.com for questions about the fair, or agpmadv@ucsc.edu for questions about the academics.
