Project Overview
This page is for a procedurally generated rogue-like 2D dungeon crawler twin stick shooter with cyberpunk, horror, and fantasy themes.
The game will play similarly to other staples of this subgenre such as Enter the Gungeon and The Binding of Isaac, but with an added emphasis on caution, stealth, preparation, and distinct phases of play.
The player will navigate through an overgrown prison afloat in the seas of time, with the goal of assembling the pieces of theĀ Gate Key to escape.
These pieces are held by the bosses of each level, who will need to be defeated in order to claim them. When a boss is defeated, night falls on a level. Enemies become more numerous and more dangerous. In turn, the shadows become deeper and sneaking becomes easier.
The player will have to navigate back the way they came with the piece intact to move on. The player will navigate through progressively more difficult levels until they have each piece, which allows them to attempt the final level.
